Runner nominations, industry surveys, runner votes decide Best Races in America

The Bellin Run recently was named to The BibRave 100: A Definitive List of the Best Races in America.

Green Bay’s signature race was listed among the top 15 10Ks in the country. Runner nominations and votes, as well as industry surveys, helped determine the winners. BibRave also lists the top 20 marathons and half marathons, as well as the top 5Ks nationwide.

“We know how much our largely local participant base loves the Bellin Run — and to have this underscored on a national level truly is an honor,” said executive race director Randy Van Straten. “It validates the work we do, year-round, to put on a great event that encourages health and wellness in Northeast Wisconsin and beyond.”

BibRave is a running community that connects runners with the best races nationwide. The platform allows participants to research races they’re considering and leave feedback on those they’ve completed. BibRave also helps races and running brands connect with socially savvy runners.

All races listed on The BibRave 100 received a commemorative award bib from sponsor Electric City, an award t-shirt from sponsor Zorrel Apparel, and The BibRave 100’s plush mascot, Benjamin.

The digital award package includes a graphic badge that races can add to their website, signifying that their race has been listed as one of the best races in America. Recipients will also receive suggestions for fun ways to showcase and share images of Benjamin across social networks.

“All of the races listed on The BibRave 100 are shining examples of how to put on a great event, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the list,” said Tim Murphy, Co-Founder of BibRave. “Runners put a lot of time and research into planning their race calendars, and we hope The BibRave 100 is a helpful tool highlighting some truly wonderful races.”

The 42nd annual Bellin Run will take place at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 9. For more information or to register, visit bellinrun.com. Follow the Bellin Run on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
