Makes a great holiday gift; 18 free entries to be given in 2018

Holiday shoppers looking to give the gift of health and wellbeing are invited to wrap up a paid registration for the 2019 Bellin Run.

Online registration for Green Bay’s signature 10K run/walk is now open, and there’s no better way to prepare for an active 2019 than by committing early to this iconic community event. The 43rd annual Bellin Run will take place at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019.

“This is a time of year when we tend to eat too much and move too little, but signing up for the Bellin Run is a great way to start the New Year off right,” said executive race director Randy Van Straten. “Whether you’re a veteran or newbie, runner or walker, committing early will help you stay active throughout the winter and into spring. And there’s no better gift for supporting a friend or family member’s wellbeing. A Bellin Run registration makes the perfect stocking stuffer!”

As an added incentive to register early, race organizers will give away free registrations to 18 individuals who register in 2018. Those names will be drawn at random from everyone who signs up before midnight Dec. 31.
With the start of Bellin Run registration comes the much-anticipated annual logo reveal. All registrants will receive an official Bellin Run technical T-shirt featuring the logo.

“Unveiling each year’s logo has become a tradition in and of itself,” said assistant race director Linda Maxwell. “Our participants look forward to seeing the new design, and our race shirts serve as a very visible sign of our community’s commitment to getting feet on the street.”

The 10K (6.2-mile) Bellin Run course traverses the streets of Green Bay and Allouez each second Saturday in June. It is one of the largest 10K events in the country.

Bellin Run participants are well supported in their training, with free weekly training run/walk events beginning March 20. All levels and abilities are welcome for these sessions, which are held at 6 p.m. Wednesdays at Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine & Orthopedics, 1970 S. Ridge Road.

Early registration for the Bellin Run 10K event is $25, while the half-mile June 7 Children’s Run costs $12. Signing up or gifting a registration is quick and easy at www.bellinrun.com. To purchase a gift, click “Register Online” and select “Gift Certificates” at the top of the registration page.
