Registration for 2015 Bellin Run is Now Open

December 29, 2014

Looking for a New Year’s resolution? How about one that’s fun, affordable, helps you get in better shape, and one that you can enjoy with your friends and family? Good news – registration for the 39th annual Bellin Run is now open

“While many of our participants return year after year, we also have a fair number of first-time participants,” said executive race director Randy Van Straten. “Part of the beauty of our event is the distance. At 10 kilometers, or 6.2 miles, it requires training to prepare. That commitment to prepare is a commitment to your personal health, making the Bellin Run a great fitness goal for 2015.”

Online signup for the 39th annual run/walk event officially opens today. Early registration is $20.

“You won’t find a more affordable 10K – certainly not one that delivers the race day experience of the Bellin,” said Linda Maxwell, assistant race director. “Keeping our race fees among the lowest in the nation is our way of encouraging health and fitness in our region.”

For those looking for a way to encourage family or friends to get active, the Bellin Run allows registrations to be purchased as gifts. The gift giver pays for the registration and the recipient is then prompted to complete the participant information online.

“A paid registration for the 2015 Bellin Run is a unique way to help someone put some action behind their health and fitness aspirations,” said Van Straten.

Bellin Run organizers also have released the logo for the event. All registrants receive an official 2015-style Bellin Run T-shirt, featuring the logo.

“The annual Bellin Run logo has become a tradition in itself,” Maxwell said. “People tell us they look forward to seeing the new design and the T-shirts serve as a very visible sign of our community’s commitment to fitness.”

The Bellin Run will take place at 8 a.m., Saturday, June 13. The 6.2-mile run/walk through Green Bay and Allouez traditionally occurs on the second Saturday of June.

Registration is easy. Visit the Bellin Run website at www.bellinrun.com to sign up and click on the tab labeled “Register Online.” Click the “Buy Registration as a Gift” tab and follow the instructions to purchase a registration for family or friends.

The 2014 Bellin Run recorded 18,213 registrants, the third time it has eclipsed the 18,000 mark.
