All 10K runners and walkers will be issued a race bib that contains a computerized timing mechanism. This computerized mechanism (a built-in chip) ensures accurate timing by automatically recording the time when participants cross the start line, 5K mark and finish line.
To receive a time, runners and walkers must cross the timing mats at both the start and finish line. Participants should not cover or obstruct their race number in any way, including with fuel belts, cellphones, arms or hands — especially when crossing the start and finish lines.
Participants' chip time is their official time. Runners will not be issued shoe-worn chips.
