Preferred Starting Positions

Please indicate your anticipated finish time on the registration form.

ChampionChip© Timing System

All 10K runners and walkers will be issued a computerized chip to attach to their shoe. These chips will enable all participants to receive a more accurate time as the chip will record the time when it crosses the start line and when it crosses the finish line. To receive a time, you must cross both the starting line and finish line. Your chip time will be your official time. All chips must be returned at the finish line or you will be charged $30. Runners with their own ChampionChip chips can use them. Please record the registration number on your Bellin Run entry form.

Strollers

The Bellin Run is a family event and strollers and wagons are encouraged in the proper areas. For safety reasons strollers are not allowed in the running corrals. They are allowed in the designated stroller area directly in front of the walkers corral. Wagons are also allowed in the stroller or walking area. No pets or rollerblades are allowed on the course.

Sanction

The race is sanctioned by the Athletics Congress, and is run on a USATF-certified course.

USA Track & Field Drug Testing

Athletes will be subject to formal drug testing in accordance with USATF rules and IAFF Rule 144. Athletes found positive for banned substances, or who refuse to be tested, will be disqualified from this event, and will lose eligibility for future competitions. Some prescription medications contain banned substances. Information regarding drugs and drug testing may be obtained by calling the USOC Hotline 1-800-233-0393.
