USA Track & Field Drug Testing

Athletes are subject to formal drug testing in accordance with USATF rules and IAFF Rule 144. Athletes found positive for banned substances, or who refuse to be tested, will be disqualified from this event and will lose eligibility for future competitions. Some prescription medications contain banned substances. Information regarding drugs and drug testing may be obtained by calling the USOC Hotline.

Drug testing is typically reserved for elite athletes, top finishers or record-breakers, unless otherwise deemed necessary by Bellin Run officials or sanctioning groups.

Casual participants should not be concerned with drug testing. Please continue to take all medications, as directed by your health care provider.
