It’s Time to Start Training for the Bellin Run

March 20, 2012

Free Preparation Classes Start Wednesday

Runners and walkers, it doesn’t get much better than this: unseasonably warm weather; record-breaking temperatures. And to top it off, the free Run a Better Bellin training runs are back.

Whether you’re considering conquering the Bellin Run for the first time or you’re a seasoned veteran of the 6.2-mile course, the Run a Better Bellin training sessions can help you sharpen your training edge each week through race day.

The 12-week group training runs are held Wednesdays at 6 p.m. beginning March 21. Participants meet at Bellin Health’s Green Bay Health & Athletic Performance Center, 1630 Commanche Ave. (west reception area). Runners and walkers of all performance levels are invited to attend. And with the weather being so inviting, why wouldn’t you want to get out and run or walk?

Each week the class will undergo a 5-10 minute informational session and a warm-up, followed by a run or walk. There is no commitment to attend. You can join as many or as few training runs/walks as you like.

Routes will start at one mile, eventually building to six miles in time for the 8 a.m. Saturday, June 9 Bellin Run.

See you there!
